Steve Martin is a Genius
I am so excited about a movie coming out. Is it a major action-packed sci-fi special effects extravaganza? No. It's Picasso at the Lapin Agile.
While stumbling along on IMDB, I found in Steve Martin's data that he is finally making this brilliant play into a movie. Written by Martin, this wonderful fanciful tale of Pablo Picasso meeting Albert Einstein in a french bar discussing talent and genius just before their major breakthroughs is probably the best play I've ever seen.
I will be there the day it opens. In 2008!
P.S. While explaining my excitement to a coworker, I unintentionally described Martin's L.A. Story as a "wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful movie." Fans of the film will understand why my mind unconsciously chose this phrase. I had to stop and laugh at myself after I said it. Most wonderful. And yet again, wonderful.
