Bearnaked Joe’s New Canvas

I uploaded “Bearnaked Joe’s Web Home” in 1998 with my own artwork. I’ve always preferred to host my own domain rather than use another popular web service of the time. I’ve seen these services’ popularity come and go.

I started publishing directly to bearnakedjoe.com using Blogger ages ago, but never really liked how it handled the archives. A few years ago I reconfigured the site and it worked well until Blogger changed their system and dropped almost all usable new features for people who prefer to directly publish to FTP. I’ve been working recently to update the site to work with their system, but it crashed somehow, and all I got was 404 errors even though the configuration was the same. So enough with Blogger. I’m publishing directly again using Wordpress. I’ve used wordpress in the past, and I think it’ll be fine for bearnakedjoe.com.

I will soon repost some of my favorite posts of my old blog. I could go through the trouble of importing the whole blog. But truth be told, I’m not sure how happy I was with it. I kind of hated blogging because I started having outrage fatigue. I don’t know how Kieth Olberman does it. I’m going to take this opportunity to start over with a more optomistic outlook. We have a new adminitsration coming in, and I hope the politics of the past can be forgotten.
